Business Description
Australia's long corridors, mine sites and rural assets are natural candidates for beyond-visual-line-of-sight drone work. SOLARTODO's article on BVLOS operations from smart pole networks explains how Sky Hub nodes support it. Each pole stores 5–20 kWh to buffer drone swaps, edge compute, sensing and robot patrols, topped up by CIGS at about 0.8–1.1 kW DC peak. Edge processing keeps 100% of raw video and sensor feeds on the pole and sends only de-identified event metadata. A BVLOS-ready node spans nine functional domains, from off-grid power and drone service to mission control, C-UAS coordination and metadata exchange. The recommended first deployments are controlled 2–20 km corridors with at least one human authorisation gate, Remote ID compliance and a clear approval pathway. As a benchmark, the FAA BEYOND program logged 70,563 flights, including 48,383 BVLOS flights, in phase one.
