I started my Har Ki Dun trek thinking it would be just another adventure, but by the time I returned home, I realised it had become something much more meaningful. The journey began from Sankri, where the cold mountain air and beautiful views immediately made me forget about the busy life I had left behind. That evening, our group sat together, talked about the trail and prepared our bags for the next morning. I was excited, but I was also wondering whether I would be able to complete the trek. The next day, we started walking through beautiful forests. The trail was surrounded by tall trees, small streams and peaceful mountain views. The Supin River flowed beside us, creating a natural soundtrack for our journey. Sometimes the path was easy, and sometimes my legs reminded me that trekking was not going to be simple. Whenever I felt tired, I looked around and found a new reason to continue. Following our Har Ki Dun trek itinerary, we slowly moved towards Seema and Osla. These villages were completely different from the places I was used to seeing. The traditional wooden houses, quiet paths and simple lifestyle made me stop and appreciate how beautiful ordinary life can be. After leaving the villages, the landscape became even more impressive. The trail opened into wider spaces, and the mountains seemed to grow larger with every step. Finally, we reached Har Ki Dun, and I honestly forgot how tired I was. The valley was surrounded by magnificent Himalayan peaks, and the view of the Swargarohini range made the entire journey feel worthwhile. We sat there quietly, eating our food and looking at the mountains. I took some photographs, but after a while I stopped using my camera. I wanted to enjoy the place without thinking about getting the perfect picture. That evening became one of my favourite memories from the trek. There was something peaceful about sitting in the mountains after spending the whole day walking. The return journey was tiring, but I felt different. I had started the trek worrying about the distance, but I finished it thinking about how quickly those beautiful days had passed. The Har Ki Dun trek taught me that sometimes the best trips are not the ones where everything goes perfectly. They are the ones where you get tired, laugh with friends, meet new people, enjoy simple moments and discover that you are capable of more than you thought. Har Ki Dun gave me beautiful views, but more importantly, it gave me a story that I will always be happy to tell.
