Ray Delgado spent eleven years finishing flatwork for other outfits around Fresno County before buying his first mixer and a used flatbed in 2009. The first jobs were driveway replacements for neighbors on Bethel Avenue, priced on a legal pad.
Sixteen years later the legal pad is a spreadsheet and there are four trucks, but the operating rule has not changed: the person who quotes your job is on site the day it is poured. Ray, his son Marcos, and a four-man crew handle roughly 90 residential and light-commercial pours a year across Sanger, Fresno, Selma, Madera and Clovis.
We do not chase volume. We would rather turn down a week of work than rush a base or pour into a rain forecast. That is also why we publish a five-year workmanship warranty instead of a vague promise.
