Fisher Lane was established in 1980 when the owner of GJ Belleville Amcal Pharmacy in Fitzroy identified a need to offer basic mobility equipment to hospital patients following surgeries and during rehabilitation. Steady growth led to Fisher Lane servicing its local area as well as many of Melbourne’s inner-city hospitals. As demand increased, Fisher Lane outgrew its original location in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. A move to larger premises at 26 Victoria Crescent, Abbotsford was necessary. From here the company flourished, growing in every area and becoming known for offering extremely strong service to the healthcare industry.
