Electrician Edgeworth

Serving the former coal-mining village once called Cocked Hat Creek and Young Wallsend, Electrician Edgeworth is a family-run, locally owned team of licensed electricians for this family-oriented western Lake Macquarie suburb. We handle general electrical, switchboard upgrades, safety switches, power points, LED downlights, ceiling fans, fault-finding and repairs, smoke alarm installation and testing, and full or partial house rewiring. Edgeworth's post-war and mining-era housing stock expanded heavily through the 1960s to 80s as the colliery land was subdivided, so brick-veneer family homes are the norm, with townhouse infill near Northville Drive. Many of these homes still run original ceramic-fuse boards that need upgrading to circuit breakers and safety switches, and plenty were wired before RCDs were mandatory, leaving power and light circuits without protection. As the affordable post-war stock is renovated and extended, full or partial rewires of aged cabling are common work here. Importantly, Edgeworth lies on the Cockle Creek floodplain, and streets including Laurel Avenue and Patterson Avenue are identified as high-hazard in a 1% AEP event, so we install with flood exposure firmly in mind. As Level 2 ASP accredited electricians on the Ausgrid network, we can also complete service mains, metering, private pole and consumer mains work in-house rather than subcontracting. All work is fully insured, AS/NZS 3000 compliant and quoted with fixed upfront pricing.
