Aurora Compounding is a compounding pharmacy in Canada that was established in 1994. Michael Khalil, a pharmacist who was well aware of the need for compounded medications formed this pharmacy. Attending pharmacy school and working in his father’s pharmacy as a teenager, he discovered the need for compounding pharmacies. During that period, he wondered why the practice of compounding suddenly disappeared after the 1940s. So, he came up with the idea of founding a compounding pharmacy and finally founded it.
Originally, Michael named his pharmacy Aurora Medical Center Pharmacy plus offered long-term care facilities and healthcare products to patients. Soon, he changed the name of his pharmacy to Aurora Compounding and expanded his pharmacy services to custom compounded medications.
Over time, Aurora Compounding has become one of the most reputable compounding pharmacies in Canada. Plus, it has joined the leading compounding organization PCAA (Professional Compounding Centers of America) today.
