Business Description
Court judgments can be significant adverse information on a credit report. Where information appears inaccurate, outdated, incomplete or otherwise improperly reported, we can assess whether there may be grounds to challenge it.
Where information appears inaccurate, outdated, incomplete or otherwise improperly reported, we can assess whether there may be grounds to challenge it. We look at whether the judgement was actually entered against you rather than a similarly named person, whether the court file matches what has been reported, whether the amount and date are correct, and whether the judgement has since been paid, varied or set aside without the file being updated.
Where a default judgement was entered because you were never properly served, an application to set the judgement aside may be available through the court itself. That is a legal process, not a credit reporting one — we will tell you when that is the right path and when you should be speaking with a solicitor or a free community legal centre instead.
